William Constad, M.D.
In addition to his faculty appointment as a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Rutgers University - New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Constad has been in private practice with Hudson Eye Physicians and Surgeons since 1985. He has served on multiple committees for the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) and Jersey City Medical Center, and has been named among the New York Metro Area's Top Doctors by Castle Connolly Medical, LTD. Constad has been directly involved with Eversight New Jersey since 1988 and served as its Medical Director from 1992-95 and 1997-present. He also serves on the Board of Directors for both Eversight New Jersey and Eversight. He is the chair of Eversight’s Medical Advisory Committee. In 2012, Dr. Constad was honored by Eversight New Jersey with its “Man of Vision” award for his many accomplishments and years of dedicated service.
Mark Lister, M.D.
Among his hospital appointments, Dr. Lister is Director of Cornea, External Disease and Ophthalmic Surgery at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City. He is also an attending ophthalmology surgeon at Ocean County Medical Center in Brick, N.J., and an associate attending at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, N.J. and Hoboken University Medical Center in Jersey City, N.J. Dr. Lister is the co-director of corneal services at St. George’s University Medical School and a clinical associate professor at New York Medical College and Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Lister was honored by Eversight New Jersey in 2014 with its “Man of Vision” award.
David Shu-Chih Chu, M.D.
David Shu-Chih Chu, M.D. is Founder and Director of Metropolitan Eye Research and Surgery Institute of New York and New Jersey. He is also Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, New Jersey Medical School of Rutgers University, in Newark, N.J. He serves as Medical Director of Eversight New Jersey and the Eversight. He is also a team ophthalmologist for the New York Jets professional football team. Dr. Chu currently serves on the editorial board of Survey of Ophthalmology as well as the boards of Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation (OIUF) and Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists (CLAO). He is also the current President of Foster Ocular Immunology Society. Dr. Chu was honored by Eversight New Jersey in 2013 with its “Man of Vision” award.
Dr. Chu’s main research interests are understanding, diagnosing and treating ocular inflammatory diseases, including uveitis, scleritis and cicatricial conjunctivitis, such as pemphigoid. He is also interested in pathophysiology and treatment of corneal infection. He has lectured widely in the U.S. and internationally on several topics in ophthalmology. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, reviews, book chapters and abstracts.
