2023 retrospective

A 2023 retrospective from Diane Hollingsworth, President/CEO, Eversight

2023 another lifechanging year

I recently had the opportunity to reflect on 2023 and was overwhelmed with a feeling of gratitude for the donors and their families, surgeons, researchers, philanthropic supporters, community partners, Lions clubs, volunteers and Eversight employees who helped make vision a reality for more than 9,200 people in the communities we serve.

Thank you to our more than 7,500 donors and their families who gave the selfless gift of sight that makes our mission possible. Your generosity restored sight and made over 4,500 gifts for research and education.

Additionally, the generous contributions received from philanthropic supporters will help Eversight:

  • Recover more tissues and prepare them for life-changing transplants or critical research;
  • Train corneal surgeons with hands-on education so they can restore sight to more people throughout their careers; and
  • Provide cornea tissue to countries around the world where there is unmet need.

I am inspired by the selflessness that shows up repeatedly from those who make our work possible and help to transform lives, and I am filled with hope and anticipation as we continue taking meaningful strides toward one day seeing a world without preventable blindness.

With appreciation,
