Advancing ophthalmology through research and development

Eversight fellows receive advanced training in research, clinical skills and education related to corneal transplantation and eye bank practices.

Dr. Dmitriev’s research project this year is on “A novel technique for processing Keratolimbal Allografts (KLAL-Pro) for the Treatment of Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency.”

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Dmitriev as our newest Eversight fellow,” said  Nambi Nallasamy, MD, program chair, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Kellogg Eye Center, and Eversight Medical Director. “Dr. Dmitriev has the skill, expertise and drive we look for in an Eversight fellow. Supporting the next generation of ophthalmology leaders

The position offers protected research time away from clinical duties and supplemental funds that support the fellow’s salary, research, travel and supplies. Eversight also provides mentorship and unrestricted access to the Eversight Center for Vision and Eye Banking Research and its expert staff in Cleveland.
