With 2024 behind us, I am filled with immense gratitude for the people and partnerships that have defined this extraordinary year for Eversight. This has been a year of transformation, impact and life-changing moments—a year that wouldn’t have been possible without you—the donors and their families, surgeons, researchers, philanthropic supporters, community partners, Lions clubs, volunteers and Eversight employees who helped make vision a reality for more than 10,200 people in the communities we serve.
Thank you to our more than 8,500 donors and their families who gave the selfless gift of sight that makes our mission possible. Each decision to give the gift of sight has transformed not just lives, but entire communities. This year, we’ve heard stories from recipients whose lives were changed because of your generosity.
These moments serve as a constant reminder of the profound impact of your courage and compassion. Your generosity restored sight and made over 4,700 gifts for research and education. These invaluable gifts are driving groundbreaking discoveries with the potential to transform vision care and treatment, ensuring a brighter future for countless people and their families worldwide.
Additionally, the generous contributions received from philanthropic supporters will help Eversight:
- Provide cornea tissue to countries where there is unmet need as well as advance eye banking practices in medically underserved areas around the world;
- Fuel groundbreaking eye and vision research that has the potential to make vision a reality for significantly more people worldwide;
- Expand access to sight-restoring surgeries to uninsured patients through our charitable tissue program; and
- Train corneal surgeons and fellows with hands-on education so they can restore sight to more people throughout their careers.
2024 has been a life-changing year in countless ways. Together, we honored donors, supported families, celebrated milestones and embraced new opportunities. But more than anything, we proved that through collaboration and compassion, we can achieve extraordinary things and make vision a reality for thousands of people worldwide.
