CLARK, N.J., Nov. 15, 2021 — A grant from the William G. and Helen C. Hoffman Foundation supports Eversight vision research and eye banking innovations. Their generosity will ensure Eversight can continue researching cures and treatments for blinding eye diseases and creating safer patient outcomes for cornea transplant recipients in New Jersey and beyond.
The William G. and Helen C. Hoffman Foundation supports agencies, institutions, and services that benefit blind persons or medical research for the prevention of blindness. They primarily support programs serving the residents of New Jersey and New York.

Hoffman Foundation as new partners,” said Jennifer Rosenblatt, Philanthropy Director, Eversight. “Thanks to their generous support, we will be able to service many more New Jersey residents in 2022, enacting our mission to restore sight and prevent blindness through donation, transplantation and research.”
Some of the particular research studies this grant will support are: using S-nitrosylation (SNO) therapy to fortify corneal storage media; the development of biodegradable hydrogel platform for DMEK graft delivery; and studying retinal degeneration in mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) disorders.
