ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 27, 2019 — Eversight today announced it has moved its headquarters to a state-of-the-art facility located at 3985 Research Park Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. The office and laboratory space brings all Michigan clinical, philanthropic and business team members under one roof. Eversight previously occupied two separate facilities in Ann Arbor.
Eversight recovers, processes and places donor corneas with surgeons around the world so they can perform sight-restoring transplant procedures for patients. Driven to make vision a reality, the organization also participates in and funds critical vision and eye banking research, coordinates donor family support and conducts meaningful philanthropic work.
“For more than 70 years, Eversight has been dedicated to restoring sight and preventing blindness,” said David Bosch, Eversight President/CEO. “We invested in this critical facility upgrade to continue serving surgeons, patients and donor families to the best of our ability for decades to come through eye donation, corneal transplantation and vision research.”
The new headquarters is approximately 30,000 square feet with versatile laboratory, office and common space. Notably, the clinical laboratory—where donor corneal tissue is evaluated and prepared—now features three sophisticated tissue processing rooms with additional space available for a fourth as Eversight continues to grow. Originally designed by an architecture firm, the building distinctively resembles an eye with a circular, open-air courtyard at the facility’s center surrounded by concentric workspace.
As part of its community outreach and education initiatives, Eversight partners with Lions and Lioness Clubs across Michigan and throughout its service areas in Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey and Ohio. More than 100 Michigan Lions Clubs supported the facility renovations through donations exceeding $50,000. The building’s new community boardroom will honor and recognize the Lions’ continued service to those in need of sight-restoring therapies.
