My husband and I had not even been married a year before he passed away suddenly in August. We met when he was 4 and I was 5! We were super close friends until our early teens, then like many we drifted apart and then lost touch. Fast forward twenty some years, two marriages, and three kids; we ran in to each other at a restaurant one night. I recognized his voice and turned around in my chair. The rest you can say is history. We had a wonderful five years together before his passing. He was a fun loving, hard working, give you the shirt off his back kind of man, AND his sense of humor was amazing! I miss him terribly and will every day for the rest of my life. I was so scared to open the letter from Eversight fearing they’d say they weren’t able to use his corneas but that was not the case and I’m so pleased that in death he was able to help someone see again 🙂
