As I reflect on 2025, I am filled with deep gratitude and pride for what we accomplished together. This past year was marked by extraordinary momentum and unprecedented impact in the number of lives touched, families supported and futures changed through the gift of sight.
Because of you—our donors and their families, surgeons, researchers, philanthropic supporters, community partners, Lions Clubs, volunteers and dedicated Eversight team members—11,260 people received the gift of sight in 2025, a record number in Eversight history. Thank you to our more than 9,800 donors and their families who gave the selfless gift of sight that makes our mission possible.
In 2025, 3,363 gifts were provided for research and education, helping fuel scientific discovery, advance surgical techniques and train the next generation of eye care professionals.
We saw more donor families say “yes” to donation, more recoveries, more tissue processed, evaluated and distributed, and more people able to experience renewed independence through restored vision. We achieved all-time highs in philanthropic support that will fuel our mission for years to come. We also introduced KLAL-Pro, an eye bank-prepared, partial thickness keratolimbal allograft enriched with limbal epithelial stem cells to treat limbal stem cell deficiency, and made meaningful advances in our research efforts. The list goes on, and none of it would have been possible without you.
Additionally, the generous contributions received from philanthropic supporters will help Eversight:
Provide corneal tissue to countries where there is unmet need as well as advance eye banking practices in medically underserved areas around the world
Fuel groundbreaking eye and vision research that has the potential to make vision a reality for significantly more people worldwide
Expand access to sight-restoring surgeries to uninsured and underinsured patients through our charitable tissue program
Train corneal surgeons and fellows worldwide with hands-on education so they can restore sight to more people throughout their careers
Support donor family aftercare, memorial gatherings, and honor donors and their families who made the selfless decisions to be eye, organ and tissue donors
2025 was a year of remarkable achievement, but more importantly, it was a year of humanity, compassion, and shared purpose.
As we continue into 2026, we do so with humility and appreciation for each of you. Your passion, commitment and belief in Eversight’s mission continue to inspire me every day. Thank you for walking this journey with us and for helping make vision a reality for so many.
With appreciation,
Diane Hollingsworth
