On behalf of the Eversight Board of Directors, I am deeply proud of our accomplishments in restoring sight and preventing blindness. Each year, a growing number of donors and families choose to make this life-changing work possible. In 2025 alone, more than 9,800 generous donors and their families gave the gift of sight for transplantation, research and education, allowing more than 11,200 people to receive the precious gift of a cornea transplant and fueling groundbreaking research to prevent, treat and cure blinding eye conditions.
Imagine waking up tomorrow without your vision. You could not drive to work, prepare a meal, move about independently, or see your loved one’s faces. Nearly every aspect of daily life would change. And yet, every day, because of the generosity of donors and their families, individuals in the United States and around the world regain their sight—along with their independence, confidence and a renewed sense of possibility.
For those whose sight cannot yet be restored through transplantation, Eversight remains very strongly committed to cutting-edge research that advances understanding of causes of blindness, develops innovative new treatments and refines eye banking techniques. In 2025, 3,363 tissues were placed for research, education and training, accelerating discovery and bringing the hope of restored vision closer to reality. At the same time, we invest in comprehensive surgeon education to uphold the highest standards of care and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
None of this work happens without you! Our donors and their families, surgeons, researchers, philanthropic supporters, community partners, Lions Clubs, volunteers and dedicated Eversight team members play an essential role in advancing important research, strengthening surgeon education, supporting corneal tissue placement and ensuring the long-term stability of our mission.
Thank you for your steadfast partnership and for helping us move closer to a world without blindness.
