The Tuscora Park Health & Wellness Foundation has awarded Eversight a $3,700 grant to purchase crucial recovery supplies for eye donation that will allow Stark and Summit County residents to give the gift of sight to people in need.
“Eversight is grateful to the Tuscora Park Health & Wellness Foundation for their support in helping us honor donor wishes in northeast Ohio,” said Lora Cabarios, Vice President of Philanthropy, Eversight. “A cornea transplant can be truly life-changing, not just for the recipient but for everyone around them. This grant will allow us to help more people regain their sight or even see for the first time.”
Eversight is the sole eye bank serving the 20 northeast counties of Ohio, recovering donated eye tissue for surgical transplantation and carrying out the wishes of donors and their families to help change lives.
In 2025, Eversight worked with 176 donors and their families from Summit and Stark Counties to give the precious gift of sight, helping up to 352 people receive a second chance at sight, independence and healing.
The Tuscora Park Health and Wellness Foundation is a private and independent philanthropic organization that provides grants to charitable organizations that share in their mission to provide health and wellness opportunities for citizens of Barberton and surrounding communities.
