ANN ARBOR, Mich. — David Bosch, an Illinois native and 22-year veteran in eye, organ and tissue donation, has been promoted to President of Eversight, a nonprofit organization restoring sight and preventing blindness around the world.
A respected leader in the field of eye banking, Bosch most recently served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Eversight since 2014. As President, he will drive the organization’s operational performance as it delivers corneal tissue and innovative services for surgeons, researchers, cornea recipients and donor families.
“Eversight has had a transformative impact on corneal blindness and vision research for more than 70 years,” Bosch said. “Today, the work of our organization is more important than ever in terms of bringing people together and addressing the vision needs in our communities. I look forward to further strengthening our global impact.”
Kevin Ross, President and CEO of Eversight since 2007, will remain as CEO and focus on strategies, projects and partnerships to secure the organization’s future growth and development.
At Eversight, Ross said Bosch instilled a mindset of service that permeated throughout the organization, and he transcended the role of Chief Marketing Officer by engaging with every aspect of Eversight as it has grown into one of the largest providers of corneas for transplant in the world.
“Our new leadership structure will allow us to push toward our humanitarian vision of a world without blindness,” Ross said. “David’s dedication to eye banking inspires all of us at Eversight to better serve our communities every day.”
Bosch joined Eversight with a deep network of relationships in donation after previously serving as Director of Communications and Government Affairs for Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network in Illinois.
He is a Board Director for Vision Share, an eye banking network spanning the United States, and an expert panelist for the Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Transplantation.
Bosch has served as Chair of the Advisory Council of Donate Life America and President of the Board, as well as Chair of both the Board Communications Committee and the National Advertising Campaign Committee on organ and tissue donation. He is a member of Donate Life Illinois and the Michigan Coalition on Donation, and has served on the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations Task Force on Multicultural Issues and the Crisis Communications Committee.
“Eversight is positioned to bring about industry-leading breakthroughs in eye and vision care,” Bosch said. “In doing so, we will have an even greater impact in the lives of the families and recipients we serve.”
