Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation supports Eversight with $30,000 grant

CLARK, N.J., Dec. 4, 2024 – The Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation (CLERF) has awarded Eversight a $30,000 grant to support research as well as corneal transplantation and donation in Connecticut. This investment will empower Eversight to continue its vital work providing life-changing services for individuals affected by vision loss while advancing critical research to prevent and treat blinding eye diseases.

Eversight has a long-standing and meaningful partnership with Lions Clubs, whose members contribute invaluable insights, service, and financial support to our mission,” said Becky Harris, Philanthropy Director, Foundations & Corporations, Eversight. “The Foundation’s generous investment will assure thousands of Connecticut residents have access to even better treatments and cures for their conditions in the future by advancing critical research projects.”

In 2023, the Foundation’s support of Eversight helped 312 Connecticut residents receive cornea tissue for transplantation and 376 donors give the gift of sight.
