ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 23, 2023 – Eversight, a nonprofit eye bank dedicated to restoring sight and preventing blindness worldwide through donation, transplantation and research, has been awarded a $5,000 grant from Delta Dental to support clinical operations in Michigan.

Partnering with nonprofit organizations like Eversight, allows us to reach beyond our customers and provide life-changing care to individuals throughout the state.”
Eversight is the only nonprofit organization recovering and providing donated cornea tissue for transplant in Michigan.
In 2022, Eversight worked with 1,760 Michigan donors and their families who gave the gift of sight for transplantation, research and education. Delta Dental’s gift will enable up to 20 Michigan donors to give the gift of sight. Because one person can donate both corneas, this grant may help up to 40 people to receive a life-changing cornea transplant.

We will be able to serve more Michiganders with their support of clinical operations in the state.”
