ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 3, 2021 — Eversight today announced that Diane Hollingsworth has been named interim President/CEO of the nonprofit eye bank network, effective March 5.
President/CEO David Bosch will step down on March 5 after six years of contributions to Eversight and the greater eye banking community. He will continue his longtime leadership in the field of donation and transplantation as chief marketing officer at Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, Eversight’s organ procurement organization partner in Illinois.
An experienced healthcare executive, Hollingsworth joined Eversight in 2010 and currently serves as Executive Vice President of External Relations. She brings to the interim President/CEO role a strong reputation and deep experience in operations management, business and partnership development, fund development, organizational financial management, and business and program transformation. Prior to joining Eversight, Hollingsworth held roles in medical education, grants management and patient education for the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois. She also spent 20 years in senior sales and marketing management positions at IBM, Siemens & Rockwell.
Hollingsworth currently serves as vice chair of the Vision Share Board of Directors and chair of Gift of Hope’s Advisory Board. In addition, she is active with the Eye Bank Association of America, the American College of Healthcare Executives, Donate Life Illinois and the Naperville (Illinois) Noon Lions Club.
“Diane brings exceptional experience and is highly respected by our leadership, staff, surgeons and partners,” said Jerry Anderson, Chair, Eversight Board of Directors. “We are confident that her leadership during this transition period will ensure Eversight continues to address the vital need for sight restoration across all of the communities we serve, here in the United States and globally.”
The board has engaged Kittleman to conduct the national search for Eversight’s next President/CEO, who will oversee implementation of a new strategic plan and the growing impact of the organization’s clinical excellence and initiatives to restore sight and prevent blindness through donation, transplantation and research.
