Eversight Academy proudly sponsors a supplemental eye banking and vision research fellowship for one cornea fellow at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. The program is chaired by Eversight Medical Director Nambi Nallasamy, MD.
Eversight’s latest fellow is Tania Padilla Conde, MD, a clinical instructor in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. She completed her residency at the University of Kentucky and received her medical degree from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Conde as our Eversight fellow,” Dr. Nallasamy said. “Dr. Conde has a strong interest in eye banking, particularly in underserved areas, and brings great enthusiasm to her research projects.”
“As a cornea specialist in training, I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity that Eversight has given me to participate in research,” Dr. Conde said. “This fellowship allows me to participate in exciting projects that will advance our ever-changing field and ultimately impact patients’ gift of sight.”
The position offers protected research time away from clinical duties and supplemental funds that support the fellow’s salary, research, travel and supplies. Eversight also provides mentorship and unrestricted access to the Eversight Center for Vision and Eye Banking Research and its expert staff.
