CLARK, N.J. Jan. 27, 2021 —Eversight is pleased to recognize the KearnyBank Foundation for providing a $10,000 grant to help ensure that New Jersey residents coping with corneal blindness receive the sight-restoring transplants they need.
The KearnyBank Foundation is dedicated to delivering meaningful support to the organizations that make communities better. This includes grants for important work to help the disadvantaged, such as individuals unable to work or live independently due to failing vision and blindness.
The Foundation’s grant directly supports Eversight’s uninterrupted operations as New Jersey’s sole eye bank providing donated eye tissues for corneal transplants. This includes Eversight’s charitable support to help 100 percent of low-income patients in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Monmouth, Ocean, Passaic and Union counties receive transplants they otherwise cannot afford.
“Imagine what life would be like if you couldn't see, being unable to see your loved one’ faces or appreciate a sunny day,” said Jennifer Rosenblatt, Eversight Philanthropy Director. “This is reality for hundreds of people in New Jersey.
