Promote ocular surface healing with amniotic membrane

About amniotic membrane

Amniotic membrane is a highly effective treatment option for non-healing, chronic wounds because of its natural anti-inflammatory, anti-scarring properties.

It is indicated to reconstruct the ocular surface, graft ocular surface melts or bandage epithelial defects and inflammation. The composite allografts available through Eversight include all three layers of the amnion and have been shown to be efficacious in wound healing, especially in corneal wounds.

Three distinct Corza Ophthalmology amniotic membrane products are available—Ambio2®, Ambio5® and AmbioDisk®—each in three sizes. AmbioDisk is the thinnest option and is made for clinic use for corneal ulcers, neurotrophic ulcers, recurrent corneal erosions, burns and severe dry eye.

DORC tube, DMEK EndoGlide, Micro Jones Tube, Modified Jones Tube

Ambio2 and Ambio5 are thicker options for surgical use. Ambio2 includes both the amnion and intermediate layers and can be used for pterygium excision, corneal ulcers and erosions, conjunctival chalasis and burns. Ambio5 is the thickest option encompassing the amnion, intermediate and chorion layers and can be used for large pterygium excisions, fornix reconstruction, symblepharon and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome.

Amniotic membrane products are dehydrated, processed to retain clarity and can be placed without sutures to cover or protect the ocular surface. It has a 5-year shelf life.

"With Eversight’s new preloaded DMEK option, there is virtually nothing that I or my clinical staff have to do to prepare the tissue. There is also no need to alter the surgical procedure in any way, such as enlarging the incision. Preloaded DORC creates a seamless DMEK insertion experience that minimizes complications for fellows and seasoned surgeons alike."
