CLARK, N.J., November 2, 2022 – Eversight, a nonprofit eye bank dedicated to restoring sight and preventing blindness worldwide through donation, transplantation and research, has been awarded a $5,000 grant from The Provident Bank Foundation to support cornea tissue recovery, preparation and placement for sight-saving transplants in New Jersey. This grant will ensure that local cornea donors and their families are able to give the gift of sight to people in need of cornea transplants or contribute to critical eye and vision research.

In 2021, Eversight worked with the families of 726 New Jersey residents who gave the gift of sight as eye tissue donors for cornea transplantation, vision research and clinical education. That same year, Eversight provided tissues for transplant that restored sight to 410 New Jersey residents.
