The Ocean

The Ocean is deep

Where many live their lives

and try to stay away from the tides

just reach for hope

think to stay afloat

Take everything stroke by stroke

breath by breath, step by step

and cherish every breath

life is hard

the ocean is hard when you swim against the tides

but for pride

some will put this all aside

When the waves come

Some are willing to drown

it’s not about who’s stronger

but who can hold their breath longer

it’s possible to swim the ocean
