My hero
A tribute from Kelly Klamer, Karen's sister
My sister Karen always protected me. In 2022, I fought and won breast cancer. At the end of 2022, she was diagnosed and I was ready to show her the same love and admiration that she showed me.
Sadly, that was not in the cards and her cancer destroyed any chance of an organ donor. When Eversight called I was so emotional because we have talked about organ donation and both were very supportive.
I am so proud of her that she will continue to help with research for blindness. I miss her everyday, but until the day we meet again, I will make sure her legacy lives on.
