A Gift of Love

A devoted spouse of nearly 52 years and a loving mother and grandmother, Phyllis always put the needs of family first. A kindergarten teacher by profession, she cherished fostering in her students her love of learning. Knowing that her cornea donation gave the gift of sight to two people would have delighted her. A friend described her best when she said, “Phyllis always had a twinkle in her eye, and her smile made me smile. She was tough as a warrior yet gentle as a flower.” It is comforting to know that that “twinkle” lives on.
