CLEVELAND, July 28, 2022 — The Youngstown Foundation has awarded Eversight a grant to support clinical operations in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. This grant will ensure Eversight can continue to facilitate eye donation in the Northeast Ohio community that makes sight-saving cornea transplants possible.
Since 2019, Eversight has worked with the families of 165 Mahoning County residents and 57 Trumbull County residents who gave the gift of sight as eye tissue donors to benefit cornea transplantation, vision research and clinical education. During this period, Eversight provided tissues for transplant that restored sight to 80 Mahoning and 77 Trumbull County residents.
