In July 2026, Eversight hosted its second Eversight Unite, an all-staff gathering celebrating every team member and their extraordinary impact. This year’s event centered on a simple but powerful idea: It Starts with One.
One donor’s decision. One family’s generosity. One transplant. One research breakthrough. One conversation that sparks a partnership. One teammate stepping up to help another.
Every person at Eversight plays a vital role in our mission to restore sight and prevent blindness. With employees located across the United States and South Korea, many colleagues primarily interact through email or video meetings—and some have never met in person. Eversight Unite was created to strengthen connections across the organization while celebrating the passion, commitment and care that drive its mission.
With support from Kapnick, Eversight brought employees together for a day focused on connection, collaboration and purpose—creating space to strengthen relationships across the organization.
To make the event possible, Eversight paused routine services on July 23 while coordinating with partner organ procurement organizations (OPOs) to ensure emergency tissue remained available for surgeons and patients if needed.
Eversight extends our deepest gratitude to our surgeon partners around the world who supported our operational pause. Their support and flexibility made Eversight Unite a success for the second time.
The day-long gathering featured creative team-building activities in the morning, collaborative brainstorming sessions in the afternoon and meaningful mission moments throughout the day, including stories shared by donor mom Jennifer Bochik, cornea transplant recipient Julie Fleps and surgeon partner Nambi Nallasamy, MD.
“Eversight Unite was more than just an event; it was a powerful reflection of who we are,” said Cynthia Muhammad, Donation Support Center Coordinator. “Together, we exemplified the core values that define our company culture of service, drive and trust. I felt re-anchored in the mission to serve others with excellence. I built stronger connections, which reinforced the reliance we have on one another. As a whole, I felt the collective focus of that day proved we are ready to build a bigger, better Eversight.”
This gathering gave colleagues from across Eversight the opportunity to connect, collaborate and, in many cases, meet one another for the first time. Team members also developed actionable ideas to improve how Eversight serves donors, patients, partners and one another.
“Eversight Unite reminded me that our mission is so much bigger than any one department or role,” said Alison David, Vice President of Business Development. “It was inspiring to see people from across the organization come together with a shared purpose: to restore sight and prevent blindness. Spending time learning from one another, celebrating our accomplishments and strengthening relationships reinforced that our greatest strength is our people.”
“My favorite moments of the day were being able to hear from real people who have been impacted by our work,” said Caroline Miller, Senior Brand Strategy & Communications Specialist. “I felt rooted in my purpose and inspired to come to work every day knowing I play a small part in helping change lives. I’m grateful to our guest speakers who reminded all of us that our work is meaningful and creates an extraordinary ripple effect.”
The evening concluded with Eversight President & CEO Diane Hollingsworth recognizing each department for the role they play in restoring sight, advancing research and honoring the generosity of donors through Eversight’s core values of service, drive and trust.
“Every transplant or research development requires every one of us,” Diane said. “Whether that means talking with donor families, recovering tissue, processing tissue, building software, supporting our finances, telling our story, serving surgeons or welcoming a new employee on their first day—each team member matters. It starts with one, but it takes all of us to make that extraordinary impact possible.”
