In September 2025, Eversight joined Lions leaders from across North America and the Caribbean at the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum in Atlantic City. The event offered a powerful opportunity to connect, collaborate and champion the shared mission of restoring sight around the world.
“We wanted to let attendees know about the large, unmet need for cornea transplantation globally and remind them of the vital role Lions have played in bringing the gift of sight to patients in the United States,” said Collin Ross, Eversight Vice President of Global Development.
For nearly a century, Lions have helped establish eye banks, fund sight-restoration programs and advocate for donation. Together, Eversight and Lions continue that legacy—working to expand access to cornea transplantation and strengthen eye banking in communities where the need is greatest.
“It’s more than just vision—it affects livelihoods, families and entire communities,” said Heather Nuskind, Eversight Global Development & Surgical Innovations Director. “Our work in corneal blindness can change lives in ways that go far beyond the medical procedure itself.”
By engaging with Lions on this global stage, Eversight reinforced a shared message of hope: that through partnership and compassion, the gift of sight can reach people everywhere.
“Lions continue to play a vital role in funding eye banking and cornea transplantation programs both in their local communities and globally,” Ross added. “Lions also continue to be an important voice for building community support for cornea donation. Going forward, we encourage Lions at the club and district level to partner with like-minded clubs and districts internationally so they can play this same role in building local eye banking and corneal transplantation programs around the world.”
